I have been having a lot of fun teaching an Art Journaling workshop at Suzi Brown’s lovely studio in Cottonwood Heights. Each month we create a new page which includes many techniques, and supplies to explore. This is just a prototype for the Feb. page – just the inspiration.

Pointed Pen Uncial with Barbara Close inspired these envelopes… Also had to put in a reminder for the 2017 International Calligraphy Conference – Letterworks – in Utah!!!
In California, when I was a child, the blue jays were everywhere, the same way the magpies are here in Utah. I think they are beautiful even though they can be pests.

This is what I did on January first! Happy Little Trees! When I copy it the perforations don’t line up exactly, so I end up just cutting around some of them. The blank ones work well as address labels.
